**The role**:

$110K - $140K plus performance bonus

**Responsibilities and Authorities**:

- Lead and manage a team of automation engineers and technicians.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation projects, including PLC programming, custom software development, and system integration.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, electrical engineering manager and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design software solutions
- Develop functional and design specification documents
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and ensure they are met.
- Manage project risks and issues and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure that the team is following best practices for software development, including coding standards, version control, and testing.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Hire and manage the performance of existing team members.
- Identify training needs and provide training to team members as needed.

**Competencies**:

- College diploma/university technical degree or equivalent job experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the automation field
- Experience in managing a team of engineers and technicians.
- Expert with Rockwell Automation suite of PLC/HMI development software (RSLogix, Studio5000, FT View)
- Strong analytical problem solving & technical skills
- Effective communicator capable of managing a hybrid team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good time management
- Ability to travel internationally without issue, less than 15% travel

**Technologies Used**:

- PLCs - Rockwell Automation ControlLogix platform, PLC5/SLC, Siemens S5/S7
- Data & Visualization - Historian, Aveva PI
- 3D Simulation - Rockwell Automation Emulate3D
