**Work Arrangements**:

- Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week at their own expense.

**The Role**:
Help bring research to life and drive your career forward with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), Canada's largest research and technology organization.

We are looking for a Project Management Coordinator, Scientific Infrastructure (PMC) to support our new Office of Facilities Renewal Management (OFRM) team. The PMC would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

Our research spans a broad spectrum of activities and enables our partners to accelerate commercial development and advance research that leads to scientific breakthroughs and innovation.

The PMC relieves the project team of project management administrative responsibilities by maintaining project data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to help all stakeholders have an accurate picture of the project status and forecast. The PMC prepares status reports at team and program levels to assist the Project Managers as well as OFRM managers make informed decisions in order to deliver projects on scope on time and on budget. They also provide a range of other project coordination services, including procurement activities and advice on the processes and tools related to project coordination.

**Education**:
Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial guidelines.

College diploma including project management courses would be considered an asset.

A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

A formal designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) would be considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- Significant* experience in supporting project management (gathering information and maintaining project data integrity, tracking project expenses and milestones, producing project reports and minutes of meetings, supporting several project managers concurrently).
- Significant* experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in supporting procurement activities preferably in coordination of project-related contracts and equipment acquisition.
- Experience working in a construction environment and ability to read engineering drawings would be considered an asset.
- Experience using SAP Project Systems would be considered an asset.
- Significant experience is defined as at least two (2) years of experience.
