**General Labourer (weekend nightshift) - contract temporary position for 4 weeks with a possibility to extend**

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking an Assembly Fitter/General Labourer with grinding experience to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembly Fitter/General Labourer will be responsible for the build and packaging of various assemblies including CMX/CMR series assemblies. The assembly fitter’s/ General Labourer's primary job along, with these assemblies, is grinding, tapping, drilling, trimming, washing, and packaging.

Pay
- $ 21.57 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures
- Safely, efficiently, and effectively build, test, package and label assemblies
- Packaging and labelling of product
- Lifting up to 20-40 pounds
- Managing the organization of inventory systems and the corresponding cycle counts
- Maintains, cleans, and organizes the work areas
- Perform general clean up.
- Assist in internal or external audits
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience
- 1-3 years of grinding experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment, standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks
- Comfortable lifting up to 20 - 40 pounds
- Ability to follow process and visual aids
- Adaptable, flexible and available to work different shifts (rotational shift
- Day Shift, Afternoon Shift, or Graveyard) based on the needs of the business
- Ability to follow process and visual aids
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to take any additional training/courses as required
- Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- Good dexterity
- Available for overtime (Asset)
- Valid Forklift Operators license (Asset)

Hours
- Weekend shift: - Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6 pm - 6:30 am

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 weeks
