**The Opportunity**

We are searching for an Assistant Treasurer to join our team. As a vital part of the Finance Division, you support BC Ferries’ long-term financial sustainability through the development and implementation of financial risk management policies and strategies, including liquidity management, funding optimization and risk mitigation.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Treasurer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:

- Providing strategic and tactical advice as the Company's financial risk management and treasury specialist of the asset and liability management programs
- Developing and managing relationships with banking groups, credit agencies, external funding sources, carbon credit markets and suppliers
- Responsible for all cash, debt, investment, derivative activity and carbon credit generation and execution
- Diversifying funding sources and long term debt program, including liquidity, alternative funding and carbon credit opportunities and long term forecasting
- Developing and managing of long-term ESG financial framework, including ESG financing
- Leading and coaching a professional team in the delivery of best financial risk management practices, including developing and promoting corporate culture and engagement in alignment to goals and objectives

**What you bring to the team**

You have completed an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or a related field. An MBA or Master’s degree in Economics is an asset. A CFA, CTP-AFP or CPA designation is preferred. You also bring 7-9 years of progressive experience in Finance or Treasury.

Pay: $155,100.00-$193,300.00 per year
