NuBinary is a fractional-CTO service and software development consulting firm working with startups in various stages, MVP development, scaling, team building, and post-series A/B growth. We work with a diverse range of clients in areas such as IoT, Smart Connected Devices, AI, Machine Learning, MedTech, Smart Manufacturing, Home Automation, and more.

Through our fractional CTO services, we help startups minimize their risk and cost while maximizing their value proposition by sharing with them years of entrepreneurship and tech leadership experience from our team. We provide end-to-end product development services including web/cloud, mobile, hardware, and firmware development. Our technology stack of choice is Ruby on Rails on the back-end and ReactJS/React Native on the front-end but we also work with other stacks frequently including Node.js, DJango, Angular and Vue.js.
Currently, we are looking for senior tech leads with previous experience being CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar positions leading tech teams in startups.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly-skilled, motivated, and experienced serial entrepreneurs and ex-CTOs. We are well connected to the startup ecosystem of the Toronto-Waterloo corridor and through exposure working with the best startups in the area, you will have the opportunity to take the CTO role in different startups. This a contract position with the goal of turning into a full-time position in the future.

Must have:

- Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar majors
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development and related areas.
- Experience leading or managing technical teams in startups.
- Experience with software project scoping, cost estimating, product roadmaps, and planning

Required skills:

- Deep knowledge of software architecture design patterns
- Experience with dev-ops, cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end product development and deployment
- Experience with Agile Project management and Lean Startup methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Great to have:

- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in software engineering or similar
- Software development consulting or freelance experience with startups
- Previous experience as a technical co-founder of a startup

**Salary**: $100.00-$170.00 per hour
