The Yard Supervisor is responsible for the overall inventory management process, the day-to-day organization of the yard, and the yard/warehouse staff. The yard supervisor works closely Operations to coordinate deliveries and shipments ensuring optimal inventory levels to support the high volume Can-Traffic construction and maintenance projects. This position works a Monday to Friday 8-4:30 schedule with opportunities for overtime. **What you will do everyday**
- Ensure the efficient movement of goods and merchandise in and out of the facility including inventory control and yard layout/management.
- Create, analyze, and define reports and communications required by leadership team, branch management and other departments
- Identifying and implement process improvements, including data integrity, training, policies, and procedures
- Purchase products at best price, quality and timely delivery of material for the Sherwood Park branch and other departments as required
- Ensure costing, product descriptions, vendor information, etc. is accurate and complete
- Provide product and vendor performance reports as required by management
- Communicate with vendors to obtain current market conditions and trends
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure a balanced inventory
- Continually review and adjust the min/max quantities
- Coordinate deliveries and shipments

- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines with flexibility, and multi-task with mínimal direction
- Ability to be adaptable, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

**Qualifications Needed**
- High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role related to inventory and asset management, logistics, or procurement
- Supply Chain Management Certification (SCMP) is an asset
- Valid Skid Steer and Telehandler certificate
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
- Valid Alberta Class 3Q driver’s license is an asset
