Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay. Works with all hotel staff to ensure each guest have a superior customer care experience. Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and ensuring the guests have a pleasant stay and smooth checkout.

Audits, balances, and reports on various areas of the hotel to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotel operation performance for the day. Responsible for the front desk operations during the night.

- To provide efficient and courteous service to each guest.
- To maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
- To take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary and knows cancellation procedures.
- To know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
- To register arriving guests and assign rooms.
- To coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special request.
- To use persuasive selling techniques, including yield management, to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
- To know daily activities and meetings that are taking place at the hotel.
- To report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
- To manage and resolve all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner by using first contact resolution.
- To process wake-up calls, guests’ departures, calculate charges, receive payments, balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
- To track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front desk operating statistics.
- To prepare summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s financial performance of the day.
- To post room charges and room taxes to the guest accounts. Processes guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers.
- To verify all account postings and balances.
- To summarize results of operations and prepares reports for management.
- To perform security checks of the hotel during the night.
- To maintain customers’ privacy.
- To attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items.
- To provide basic information on facilities.
- To maintain friendly, cheerful, and courteous manners at all times.
- To organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.
- To arrange and book meetings and ensure the appropriate presentation and equipments are there.
- To maintain a clean and organized work area.
- To perform other duties as assigned
- Previous hotel-related experience is an asset.
- Able to communicate with public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.
- Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check deposits, and cash handling policies and procedures. Able to secure guest information.
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
- Skilled in the use of front office equipment.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometime stressful times.
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.75-$16.50 per hour
