Our **Warehouse Associates** are important contributors in our organization.

The Food Bank of York Region (FBYR) serves as a nexus between the abundance of surplus food in Ontario and the non-profit organizations that provide food and meals in their programs, and the people they serve. As a regional food distribution hub for nonprofits, the FBYR provides food to partners who distribute to low
- and moderate-income individuals within Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, King, Aurora, Whitchurch/Stouffville, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury and Georgina.

Our mobile food pantry delivers to community food pantries, social service agencies, social housing and schools. We are a vital part of combating food insecurity in York Region.

We are looking for a **Warehouse Associate** to join our team that cares about the same things. As a team we value cooperation, respectful and fair treatment, and encourage growth. If this speaks directly to you, then consider joining our team

**What you would bring to the role**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift and walkie (electric pump truck) licenses
- 2 years of experience in a similar warehouse position
- Valid Drivers license, and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to read and write English
- Food Safety/Handling Certificate would be an asset
- DZ license would be an asset

**How you would know you are a good fit (additional details will be provided through the process)**:

- You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You enjoy physical work activities including loading and unloading vehicles
- You like to maintain equipment, work spaces and keep things clean, organized and tidy
- You would be available to complete year end inventory the final week of each year

**What we would offer**:

- Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- This is an on-site position based out at 8201 Keele Street, Units 5 & 6, in Concord, Ontario with requirements to travel to partner locations
- An excellent group benefits package including medical, dental, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD &D)

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 44 per week
