**Job Description**:
The Outsource Producer acts as the main representative and negotiator for all of Rodeo's needs in terms of finding and managing external resources or services, working mainly with the Global Resource Manager, Executive Producers, Production teams, Finance department but also with various Department Heads when needed. The Outsource Producer ensures proper management of the outsource costs and budgets of every show that requires external services from various vendors.

The Outsource Producer is constantly on the lookout for new potential quality vendors or agencies to establish new business relationships with them. They also oversee their adherence to the company’s industry security policies & legal requirements.

**Main responsibilities**:

- In conjunction with VP Production, Create a global vision and strategies that will be applied throughout the company, prioritizing production satisfaction, cost efficiency and profit generation;
- Establish and preserve harmonious relationships with current and potential trusted vendors, including securing resources, planning, weekly meetings, updates, production issues, deliveries and anything related to costs;
- Hold weekly meetings with the Global Resource Manager to discuss internal capacity and external needs for all projects. Create calendars and evaluate the scope of work ;
- Oversee the conception and implementation of improved workflows or procedures with external companies as needed;
- Oversee the creation and implementation of standard processes and guidelines to ensure a globally consistent insourcing and outsourcing function. Ensure that processes and guidelines are respected and that each project team is supported;
- Communicate regularly with internal Production teams about all necessary information relating to projects and workflows;
- Help with maintaining the internal wiki;
- Provide a monthly Outsource Report to Executives and Finance;
- Prepare all necessary budget reports, and forecast changes in scheduling and budgeting issues that may arise;
- Support the production team - troubleshoot and find creative solutions to fix any and all potential issues with vendors. Recommend solutions and bids for new shots or client changes throughout the project and ensure deadlines and budgets are respected;
- Stay informed about project outsource scheduling and deadlines, including important targets and milestones;
- Communicate regularly with vendors on the status of projects and nurture a positive and collaborative working relationship;
- Supervise the progress and efficiency of vendors, track the schedule and budget thoroughly to confirm it stays in line with the initial quote, the project plan and that it meets requirements;
- Update the Outsource page on Shotgun/Shotgrid on a daily basis and ensure it is always up-to-date ;
- Negotiate amounts and award the work to vendors based on various variables like work estimations, internal budgets, tax credits, maximum outsource allowed, approved vendors, etc.;
- Create Purchase Orders using tools from the Finance department for proper financial tracking;
- Stay informed about all invoices submitted by vendors, approve and follow up as needed;
- Provide training about the outsource workflows and processes to new Producers and Project Managers;
- Perform mid and post-mortem meetings and assessments with internal teams, identify areas for improvement and make sure that all issues are addressed;
- Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement, make recommendations of best practices, suggest ways to improve, design processes to increase efficiency and ensure implementation.
- Mentor members of their team by providing training and sharing knowledge. Communicate any specific training needs of the production team. May participate in preparing training materials or giving group training sessions;
- Review the performance of vendors and make sure that they receive feedback on a regular basis through the mid and post mortem process.
- Share responsibility with Department Managers for the management of performance of their production team including deciding on promotions (levels and/or positions), disciplinary or performance issues, and terminations.
- Actively monitor the work climate in his/her team, taking steps to encourage and ensure the maintenance of a positive work environment and adherence to company values;
- Positively represent Rodeo FX within the VFX and related communities, both locally and in the worldwide market, to further grow the company’s reputation as an industry leader.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of production experience in visual effects;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Producer or in a similar role that involves financing and manag
