**Please note: We are looking to fill a contract position from September 3rd to November 4th, 2024.**

2129 Boxwood Road, Nanaimo, British Columbia, V9S 4L2

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping.
- Implement an Emergent Curriculum
- Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well-being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
- Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
- Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as necessary
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
- Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops

**Specifications**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
- Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Ability to take the initiative in and out of the classroom
- Strong problem-solving skills

**Qualifications**
- BC ECE License
- Criminal Record Check
- Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR
- Immunization records up to date
- Ability to push, pull and lift up-to 45 pounds
