This role pays $21.41/ hour.
This role involves 100% outdoor strenuous physical work and travel to remote sites.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as environmental sampling, assisting with calculations, and operations, maintenance and inspection of equipment of client site), working under close supervision.
Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties.
Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.
Minimum Requirements
Highschool
Must be able to perform strenuous outdoors fieldwork in all weather conditions (lift up to 40lbs & be capable of repetitive movement of shoveling & screening dirt).
Must be able to work out of town within Ontario for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
Excavate & operate in a consistent and controlled manner based on direction given from the Field Supervisor.
Technicians are expected to prioritize Health & Safety & follow all AECOM procedures including strict Covid-19 measures.
Should be able to demonstrate attention to detail, identify artifacts for collection & organize appropriately for Field Supervisor.
Sensitivity & awareness combined with a respectful attitude towards Indigenous culture and people is a must. Collaboration in a team environment is key.
Valid Ontario driver’s license is preferred.
Reliable transportation to & from assigned AECOM office or designated project meet spot essential.
Attend work in a prepared manner for all weather conditions, ensuring appropriate weather gear is readily available
Communicate information, issues, concerns related to the site work in an effective and professional manner to Field Supervisor.
