**Position Summary**:
Term of employment - September 2025 to March 2026 (27 weeks).

The Oral History - Collections Assistant (Intern) will work with the Museum Collections team at the Huron County Museum with projects involving preparations for a long-term oral history project. The Intern will develop & facilitate the oral history project guidelines, best practices and procedures to collect oral histories regarding the current Museum collections. The position will also work with other cultural and heritage organizations to create a County wide oral history project to ensure the retention of historical memories from our communities.

**Qualifications and Education**:

- University or College degree in Archives, Museum, History, Public History or Arts Management field. Diploma or certificate in Museum Studies an asset.
- An interest in Canadian heritage and culture and enthusiasm to promote it to visitors and the community.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Excellent research skills,
- Excellent computer skills, and
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Valid Ontario’s Driver’s license.

**Competitive Compensation**:

- $22.58 per hour as per the 2025 non-union wage grid for a 35-hour workweek

Location - The position will work out of the Huron County Museum located at 110 North St., Goderich, Ontario, with some off-site project work.
