**Role of Swamper**

You’ll be working alongside a driver and another swamper every day. You and your fellow swamper will work in tandem with a forklift to load the truck according to the driver’s efficient loading plan. You’ll carefully follow the plan because your pay will be based partly on how much you can deliver; a heavier truck means a heavier paycheque. Punctuality is very important to start your day.

**Purpose and Responsibilities of Swamper**

The Swamper is responsible for providing high quality service and the “Pro-line Advantage”, the individual will report directly to the General Sales Manger.

Tasks and results for this position include:

- **Proactive** - you look for ways to pitch in and respond when you see a need.

**Key Tasks**
- Strictly adhere to and comply with Health and Safety policies, rules, and regulations
- Load rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
- Work closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
- Handle material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
- When not on deliveries you will be required to perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping, receiving or other duties as required
- Maintain clean and organized work environment

**Skills and Abilities**
- Must understand and comply with required health and safety regulations
- Able to assess a situation and recognize potential hazards
- Must have strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Be comfortable working at heights
- Able to lift of up to 36kg (80lbs.)
- Able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Past experience in building products and/or working at heights are definite assets
