**What You Will Do**:

- Responsible to maintain the esthetical condition of the hotel and guestrooms at all times
- Assist in administering and documenting equipment preventative maintenance and guest room preventative maintenance
- Replacement/repair of plumbing fixtures, toilets, drain lines, shut off valves, and grease traps
- Able to maintain and operate fridges, ice machines, and washers/dryers
- Perform quarterly room smoke detector and AC filter cleaning
- Responsible for the daily readings of HVAC equipment, pool chemical balances, verifying life safety systems are fully operational and advising Management of any concerns
- Completion of all daily requests and concerns for internal and external guests
- Perform routine inspections of guestrooms, public areas and grounds
- Promote and actively participate in Occupational Health and Safety initiatives
- Assist in the implementation of fire and safety inspections making sure they are completed and any discrepancies corrected
- Inspects fire detectors for use or expired inspections
- Fixes maintenance problems at the hotel
- Maintains the pool chemistry in the indoor and outdoor pool (when in season)
- Maintains in contact with the Front Desk to respond to any guest issues
- Daily will be assigned a “To Do” list by supervisor for completion
- Cleans rooms or areas of debris created by work (wood shavings, etc.)
- Liaises with Housekeeping about maintenance issues discovered while cleaning rooms
- Removes rubbish, recycling and composting from hotel and brings to collection area
- Cleans the steam room
- Performs any maintenance work required on the Chalets
- Assists other departments with odd jobs requiring physical labour
- Fixes problems with room and door locks
- Assists with work on the Marina

**Experience, Skills & Education Requirements**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in a similar environment
- Excellent knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC plumbing, fire/life/safety systems, pool operations, carpentry, masonry, all wall covering systems, flooring (including carpet, tile, wood and finishes)
- Able to work at heights and on ladders
- Able to meet physical requirements of position, which includes, but is not limited to: frequent standing and walking, lifting (up to 75lbs), bending and kneeling, and pulling and pushing
- Must be available to work days / evenings / weekends and holidays
