Client Care Specialist/ Veterinary Assistant

We are located in an up-and-coming area of Pickering, our plaza offers many interesting vendors, including banks, restaurants, a dollar store, Planet Fitness, and a Montessori Daycare. Pickering Animal Hospital provides a supportive and collaborative work environment, many of our team members have been with us for well over 10 years and some of our clients have been with us for as long as 30 years. We all have a strong desire to make work both fun and meaningful.
**About The Role**:
Our ideal Client Care Reception / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. This involves greeting and checking-in clients in a friendly and warm manner; receiving incoming calls from current and prospective clients utilizing a courteous and caring approach. This person will appropriately screen calls, book appointments, take detailed messages as well as provide knowledgeable non-medical information to clients. Responsibilities also include performing a variety of administrative office tasks, including mail (receiving, sorting, distributing, posting), drafting memos and other correspondence, completing reports and other ad-hoc document requests.
