Fabric Building Installer

**Reporting Manager**: Install Crew Supervisor

**Location**: Multiple locations throughout Ontario

**Position Summary**:
The Building Installer must be able to operate various pieces of equipment and is able to complete all tasks assigned by the Install Supervisor. It is a requirement for the crew to meet in St. Thomas at a designated location and travel in the company vehicle to jobsite locations.

Work operates in a standard 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day schedule however the schedule will be amended and determined based on specific project requirements. Extended stays for days to weeks at a time and varying hours will be required depending on the project and the site location. Rooms and meals provided when on long stays. When jobs are local you will meet at the designated location daily to travel to site.

**Position Qualifications**:

- A valid Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract
- Clean criminal record check and ability to be approved for secure sites
- Able to travel and work on the road in various locations within Ontario year round in all weather conditions
- Have up to date WHMIS, Arial lift, Working at Heights and First Aid / CPR certification ORhave the ability to obtain through employment.
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to operate equipment such as drills, impacts, other hand/power tools
- Able to operate various pieces of lift equipment
- Physical strength is required for manual material handling
- Comfortable working at heights
- Hands on manual labour experience
- Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
- General Labourer experience in a construction environment is an asset
- Knowledge of construction in the fabric building industry is an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow all safety procedures and wear all supplied PPE required for the job
- Have attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask
- Responsible to keep work sites, trucks, and trailer orderly, and safe
- Follow the guidelines outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Encourage fellow employees to work safely and to report hazardous or unsafe conditions immediately to their supervisor

**Working Conditions / Physical Demands**:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- 100% of the job is hands on labour in the field

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Each crew member will fill out a COVID Questionnaire daily before getting in the company truck for work. Some customers have their own COVID policy that must be adhered to. All crew members have both vaccines due to customer requirements.

**Experience**:

- General Labor: 1 year (preferred)

- Drivers License to get to the St. Thomas meeting point (required)
