In-House Lawyer Qualifications/Skills and Job Responsibilities:

Drafts, assesses, analyzes, negotiates, and finalizes contracts and agreements.
Negotiates transactions and agreements governing licensing, leasing, partnerships, and strategic alliances with outside business entities and organizations.
Develops, implements, and maintains asset protection strategies and legal risk.
Guides strategic and financial decision-making.
Helps to guide and shape policy regarding personnel.
Advises staff on intellectual property and privacy law.
Models ethical decision-making to coworkers and staff.

**Required**:
A Member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in good standing.
Qualified lawyer/solicitor licensed to practice law in Canada.
5-10 years of practice in business law gained at a Canadian law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
The ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand.
Ability to impact and influence internal and external stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including consensus building.
Working knowledge of laws, regulations, financial compliance, and best practices in the field.
Knowledge of contract, intellectual property, real estate, and employment laws.
Effective at communicating complex information to stakeholders with a wide array of expertise in an accessible way.
Excellent persuasive writing skills.
Credible and discrete, with high integrity and the ability to work with highly confidential and privileged information.
