**The Role**:
We are currently searching for a **Supervisor, Operations - Automation** reporting to the Automation Manager. This is a **Full-Time, 12 month contract **opportunity.
**Location**:
On-site at our Port Coquitlam Distribution Centre
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Provide leadership and front-line supervision of employees in an automated and unionized warehouse environment
- Hands on operation of robotic automation equipment
- Managing performance of employees
- Responsible and accountable for daily throughput numbers and automation KPI
- Planning, organizing, and managing workflows to maintain efficient and effective warehouse operations
- Able to understand and demonstrate strong business acumen
- Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
- Ensure the company’s Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
- Perform other related projects and duties as assigned
**Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
**Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post secondary Degree or Diploma is required
**Experience**:
- 1-3 years of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience is required
- 5+ years of related experience required, preferably in a unionized environment
- 3+ years of supervisory experience required, within a manufacturing, warehousing, and/or distribution facility setting preferred
- Previous experience using HMI (Operator Interface) to operate automated equipment would be considered an asset
- Previous experience with robotics or related equipment would be considered an asset
**Skills**:
- Understanding of, and the ability to interpret provincial legislation as it relates to labour relations and labour codes
- Demonstrated people management skills and leadership qualities
- Strong time management skills, works well under pressure and with tight timelines.
- Strong problem solving skills: able to define the problem and generate appropriate solutions in a timely manner
- Superior multi-tasking, critical thinking, and communication skills (including written, oral and interpersonal)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

**The base hourly rate for this position will range between $31.68/hour and $39.62/hour.**
