Controller

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Leads, supervises, engages and develops members of the Finance team.
- Manage the day-to-day Accounting operations which includes Billing, AR, AP, GL, Inventory/Cost and Revenue recognition, cash management.
- Monitoring expenditures, cash flow and implements budgets.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Leads the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, forecasts, annual budgets, cash flows and provide explanations for all variances.
- Presentation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results to the local management team.
- Proposes and implements best practices across Finance teams, e.g., process improvements, internal controls, etc.
- Works closely with the corporate Finance and Accounting team.
- Recognizes patterns in the company's financial performance and recommends solutions.
- Provides support and schedules for sales & tax compliance.
- Ensure processes are aligned and followed in accounting and operational systems, to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data for financial statement preparation.
- Participates in the inventory physical counts and reconciliations.
- Audits: Preparation of Financial results for Audit purposes; participate in the annual audit.
- Participate in special projects.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Executes other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

**Education & Experience Required**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation.
- Minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience in financial accounting and accounting management in a manufacturing environment with at least three (3) years in a Controller role.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with the development of financial models, workflow and analysis for business and process efficiency improvements.
- Experience as a chartered accountant (asset).
- Experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

**Qualifications & Skills Required**
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of finance and Accounting best practices.
- Must have advanced experience with a fully integrated accounting system (ERP), preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Strong communication (oral and written).
- Thoroughly bilingual (spoken and written French and English). The position holder will be required to interact daily with international colleagues, clients, and partners who do not speak French;
- Must be decisive and agile.
- Must possess an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced working environment.
- Must be proactive and disciplined in following through.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
- Excellent coaching, impact and influence skills, and leadership skills that encourage employee involvement.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
