**Class 1 Truck Driver**

Atlantic Explosives Limited is currently seeking a self-motivated energetic individual to join our team We are looking for someone who is hard working, reliable and willing contribute in a variety of tasks.

**Key Responsibilities & Priorities**:

- Transportation of raw materials and packaged products in a safe and efficient manner, throughout Eastern Canada.
- Positive attitude & Commitment to safety
- Comply with all legislation regarding:

- Safe operation
- Carriage of goods
- Driver's hours of service
- Occupational health and safety
- Transportation of dangerous goods
- Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Assist in loading and unloading of tractor
- Criminal record check & Clean Driver’s abstract must be provided upon hiring

**Basic Requirment**:

- Valid Class I Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract
- A safety conscious, reliable and positive teamwork attitude
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience driving
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Properly maintain equipment and tools
- Ensure clean job site
- Capability of lifting 50lbs
- Other Duties as required

**General Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
- Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order. Grease weekly.
- Report mechanical problems to the mechanic
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook

Pay: $68,085.00-$90,407.00 per year
