CONTINENTAL SHIFT (12 Hours)

FULL-TIME POSITION

LOCATION: BRAMPTON

The Helper helps to maintain the quality and integrity of the Production Line and must be able to comprehend the paperwork involved, as well as physical operation of the machines including: manual packaging, automated packaging. He/She should be fully trained in:
A. Performing Quality Checks

B. Nonconforming Procedures

**I. Duties.**

**INSPECT ALL SAFETY FEATURES AND INSURE THEY ARE FUNCTIONING ON ALL EQUIPMENT BEFORE OPERATING. REPORT ANY HAZARDS AND UNSAFE CONDITIONS TO SUPERVISOR/ OPERATOR.**

1. Assist in setup and threading of bubble downstream equipment, including threading of bag machine, frames, separators, folders, winders and shafts.

2. Quality Checks at regular periods during production, as per Quality Checks for Production.

3. Check size, seals, weight, pkg., knife, print, count and record on Log Report as per Work Instruction Manual.

4. If there is any variance notify Operator / Supervisor immediately.

5. Packaging of bags / rolls to be done in accordance with specifications on Work Order and as neatly as possible.

6. Ensure carton / roll has proper label and is stamped with proper Date Stamp and Employee ID Number.

7. Keep minimum supply of packaging materials, i.e. ties, pouches, cartons at all machines.

8. Housekeeping.

9. Relieve for breaks.

10. Run Extrusion Equipment as directed.

11. Other duties as requested by Supervisor.

**II. Responsibilities / Authority.**

A. Quality of finished product

B. Physically run the equipment as directed

C. Use of PPE and awareness of all safety aspects of machines

D. Quality Control - alerting Operators or Supervisor of any Nonconforming products.

**TRAINING AND EXPERIENCED REQUIRED**

1. Able to work with mínimal supervision and capable of performing Helper’s duties after training.

2. Manual dexterity and familiar with hazards of Production Equipment that is in motion.

3. Keep pace with standard machine speeds.

4. Seven working days on job training.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post Secondary Diploma
