**FOOD & CATERING ASSISTANT MANAGER - FULL-TIME**
Coffee Lodge Finch is a trendy local Sarnia coffee shop. Coffee Lodge is locally owned and operated and has been in business for 25 years. We are known for our great coffee, great food and our excellent customer service. We create a warm & welcoming environment for our customers.
We are seeking a foodie to lead our Food & Catering Operations. Someone who is passionate about food and takes pride in how food is prepared and served.
As Food & Catering Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service, ensuring high-quality food and service, and developing and overseeing our catering business. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring compliance of health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation, maintaining a clean and safe environment and train & ensuring staff are on following Coffee Lodge recipes.
**Responsibilities**
- Providing quality food + beverages products consistently for all customers by adhering to Coffee Lodge recipes and presentation standards.
- Developing & oversee our Catering Business
- Being proactive with bringing new promotional, food + beverage item ideas to the Owners | Manager in keeping with Coffee Lodge Finch's vision + direction
- Training our team to ensure that all team members are following Coffee Lodge food + drink recipes
- Ensure that you and our team are adhering to health & safety regulations at all times
- Being proactive to identify and handle any potential issues and addressing/resolving any that arise to optimize the customer experience
- Identifying teachable moments to share best practices with the team
- Assist Owner | Manager with developing promotional events, assisting in organizing & supervising in-house special events & catering as needed
- Inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
- Position is typically days but will be required to work evenings (up to 7:30 pm & week-ends as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and mission of Coffee Lodge Finch.
- Previous experience supervising, coaching and leading food operations in the hospitality industry, preferably a coffee shop, is a definite asset.
- Strong customer service & interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for coffee and food, along with a desire to continue to learn about the industry.
- Previous catering experience would be a definite asset.
- Additional courses in food preparation and/or hospitality would be an definite asset.
- Have completed grade 12 & have your Food Handlers Certification.

** This is a full-time position. Hours approximately 30 - 40/hours per week.**
** Coffee shop is open Monday to Friday 7 am to 7 pm. Saturday 8 am - 5 pm. Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.**

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
