**About the Opportunity**:
The Health Services Manager is responsible for Rehab Services, which includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, the Pain Management Clinic, and Staffing.

Reporting to the Director, Health Services, the Health Services Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the specific client portfolio in accordance with the Nova Scotia Health mission, vision and values. The Manager provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of all initiatives at the service level. The Manager has 24 hour accountability in the management of all service activities. The Manager is also responsible for planning of strategic integration of service delivery in collaboration with colleagues in the Health portfolio. This position is required to be on call as part of a rotation.

Working collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers, the Health Services Manager - Rehab Services and Respiratory Therapy applies strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.

The Manager exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of NSHA, and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of NSHA Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Leadership.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a health related discipline.
- Registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body.
- Five (5) years’ experience managing teams within a unionized environment or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
- Evidence of strong people skills, with knowledge of the LEADS leadership Framework.
- Experience in the provision of direct client services within the designated portfolio preferred.
- Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health.
- Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum.
- Demonstrated commitment to employee and self-development and continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated regular attendance in current and previous employment.
- Managing multiple priorities, time-sensitive deadlines, stressful situations, working flexible/extended hours and travelling within and outside NSHA as necessary.

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$40.27 - 53.51/hourly
