**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, treatments, and laboratory procedures, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
**Duties**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort of the animals.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Collect samples for laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and fecal samples.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist in the processing of samples.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health and treatment plans.
- Assist in managing inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and sanitation standards within the clinic.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their well-being.
- Must be able to lift heavy animals when necessary and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary-related education or certification is an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
