**Janitor - Part Time**

**The Location**

This position is located in St. Thomas, Ontario Canada.

**The Position - Janitor - Part Time**

**Qualifications that you bring to the position;**
- commence work at 200 PM. Finish at 600 PM. 3 days per week.

- ability to lift 20 kgs regularly
- be on your feet all of the time
- distinguish color up close and from a distance
- excellent communication skills in English ( written and spoken )

- determines appropriate cleaning materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to accomplish job; issues supplies, materials, tools, and equipment to employees
- requisitions supplies, equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
- maintains records as required
- gather and emptying trash both inside and outside the building and on all premises
- handle recycling materials
- use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
- mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders
- replace light bulbs as needed
- maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies
- monitor, identify and _report_ possible repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems
- _notify_ managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services

**Additional Details**

**Education**: No specific amount of formal education is required.

**Assignment**: Part Time - Approximately 12 hours per week

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 - 14 per week

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. Thomas, ON N5R 6C8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)
