**Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd.** is a rapid growing Civil Construction company with projects located throughout the Lower Mainland. Head office is located in Maple Ridge, BC. We are currently seeking an experienced **Heavy Equipment** **Operator** to join our team.

**Skills / Qualifications and Requirements**
- Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators of various sizes on utility installation projects
- Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators, backhoe, log loaders, dozers, skidders
- Clean and valid drivers license and be able to get to and from the job sites
- Experience with storm, sanitary, water, communications, and hydro installations
- Experience with logging
- Maintain equipment (Pre-trip inspections, grease, and clean cab daily)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on active roadways
- Experience working around live utilities
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Safety conscious
- Ground disturbance knowledge
- Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions
- Advise operations of any issues with equipment
- Respect equipment and attachments
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Must be able to work out of town as need (Whistler, Squamish, areas of the island, Okanagan)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Maple Ridge, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
