We are looking for that special person who is friendly and personable in greeting our patients, who feels comfortable in one on one conversations answering their questions and transmitting our providers' instructions.

**Responsibilities**
- Help checking in patients
- Verifying insurances
- Collecting co-pays
- Answer our patients' questions or concerns
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepares patients for cosmetic procedures.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Rooms patients utilizing best practice MA workflow and maintains patient flow per schedule
- Documents patient information collected, care given and treatments provided as well as charges in a clear and concise manner in EMR.
- Anticipates patient care needs and consults with provider as needed
- Maintains current knowledge of clinical policies and procedures
- Adheres to all safety standards including but not limited to, equipment maintenance, infection control, universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment as needed for all patient-care procedures
- Organizes, stocks and maintains an orderly, clean and uncluttered work area, including but not limited to exam rooms, procedure rooms and patient care areas
- Assists with procedures and administers medications within the MA scope of practice and per provider order
- Submits authorization requests electronically as needed for continuing care referrals and submits relevant documentation to insurance carriers for prior authorizations
- Answers incoming telephone calls from patients, physicians and health care providers, relaying information as allowed within scope of practice; tasking providers with messages as appropriate.
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications / Skills**
- 1 - 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Plastic surgery experience preferable
- Excellent verbal communication
- Professionalism and customer focus

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
