**Job Title**: Independent Living Support Worker
**Location**: Truro, NS
**Position type**: Casual
**Compensation**: $16.49-$17.70 per hour
**Requirements**: Valid drivers license, Vulnerable sectors check and Criminal record check, Minimum of 1 year of working in this sector.
Job Scope
This position is focused on the one on one interaction with participants and is very rewarding. You can take participants to life skills events, grocery shopping, appointments and helping them be more independent.
Previous training and experience developing and implementing non-aversive behavioral modification techniques and IPPs (including life skills training) Preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work from a strengths-based, solution
- and client-focused perspective essential.
Ability to quickly adapt to change and flexibility to meet the demands of a stressful and fast paced work environment required.
Current and Clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed is required.
Must have reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, valid safety inspection, Vehicle Insurance endorsing permission to carry passengers and $2 million liability.
Must provide a clear Drivers Abstract.
Attendance at staff meetings is mandatory.
