The **Electrical Foreperson** is an exciting role at Sheridan, providing you with a breadth of experience which will expand your ability to think critically, handle difficult situations, and further develop your interpersonal skills. As an **Electrical Foreperson** you will provide leadership and training to Electricians and Apprentices, as well as ensure timely completion of projects, and liaise with customers.
More specifically, the **Electrical Foreperson** will be responsible for:
- Providing direction and support to electricians and apprentices, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner,
- Working with customers to develop an understanding of their expectations in terms of level of service and to review completed tasks to ensure customer satisfaction,
- Resolving issues (i.e. material requirements on job site),
- Reviewing completed work to ensure it is to code and company standards and developing plans of action to address any issues,
- Ensuring compliance with the _Occupational Health and Safety Act_ requirements, including ensuring staff are following proper PPE procedures and company and customer health and safety policies and safe work practices.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in electrical techniques or a related field is considered an asset,
- You must possess a valid 309A Electrical License and be an active member with Skilled Trades Ontario,
- Previous experience in a Foreperson role is considered an asset, previous experience in leadership roles is considered essential,
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining electrical equipment, and with conducting basic preventive maintenance,
- Be a strong leader, good communicator and independent worker,
- Must possess a valid class G Driver’s License, or better, with a clean driving record,
- Be willing to work weekends and participate in the on-call schedule, as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
