Scotia Digital PMO supports the Scotia Digital organization and has oversight across all projects and programs within Scotia Digital from ideation to execution and closure. We are building a team that seeks to implement processes and controls to monitor and ensure all projects adhere to Scotia Digital and Bank-wide PMO policies and procedures; and we provide executive reporting and analysis that enables our key stakeholders to understand, manage and control project execution and risks for Scotia Digital initiatives.
The Manager, Scotia Digital PMO, supports their team and the Director, Digital Business Operations, in developing key processes and controls and provides portfolio governance and analysis for all initiatives within Scotia Digital division. The Manager, Scotia Digital PMO must have expertise in portfolio & project governance, portfolio and project management, business case review, key project performance metrics, technology cost drivers, and value management.
**Is this role right for you?**
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Actively participate and contribute to develop and enforce project and portfolio governance controls and reporting that monitors projects and initiatives from ideation to closure and post implementation
- Develop processes in alignment with and collaboration with the enterprise CPMO (Corporate PMO), IT PMO (IT& Scotia Digital PMO), IT&S and Digital Finance, and other functions
- Ensure all essential procedures are documented and communicated, including creating new procedures and updating existing procedures/processes as they evolve
- Actively participate and contribute to the development of data driven portfolio reporting strategies & dashboards including project health, status, risks, issues, benefits, financial forecasts and trends, etc. to support decision-making
- Develop and maintain a centralized location for Scotia Digital PMO documentation (mandates, processes, and standards)
- Work with Finance to review and provide project & portfolio oversight on all estimates and Scotia Digital business cases
- Track project costs and benefits realization across the portfolio
- Work with Scotia Digital’s governance & risk teams to review, identify, track, communicate and escalate overall portfolio risk
- Provide training, guidance and coaching within Scotia Digital to improve project & portfolio management capabilities
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend changes to improve overall productivity and effectiveness of the portfolio and project management in Scotia Digital
- Provides liaison between Scotia Digital and the CPMO, IT PMO, Finance and other stakeholders to contribute to, communicate and support implementation of BNS and enterprise-wide policies and governance controls.
- Responsible for conducting in-depth evaluation of projects as required/requested.
**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?**
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a minimum of 5- 7years of related work experience considered an asset
- The incumbent must have knowledge in complex business and operational processes and their implications across the enterprise.
- MBA or another financial designation is an asset
- PMP Certification is a strong asset
- Financial Acumen
- Adept at portfolio, project and change management
- Excellent analytic skills with a solid understanding of PMO operations tools/criteria is essential
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) is essential.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Abilities to direct varied activities within tight deadlines, alleviate conflicts as they arise and liaise with various stakeholders
- Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines with multiple priorities is essential
- Working knowledge of Bank accounting, controls, Organization and Structure
