Under the direction of the Manager of Client Services, the Business Systems Supervisor (Supervisor) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all of Winnipeg Transit Plus software management systems (“system”) and coordinating all required updates and upgrades of the software systems. The position provides frontline expertise, support and coordination for all division system training.

In addition, the Supervisor monitors system business performance and supports efficient service delivery which includes conducting special management studies/research requiring written presentation of findings, recommendations, forecasts, and justifications.

The position ensures that registrant information is protected and any new initiatives and software updates are in compliance with applicable privacy and accessibility legislation.

This position supports effective and efficient Winnipeg Transit Plus operations and thus, requires understanding of all of the business needs and key performance indicators.

**As the Business System Supervisor, you will**:

- Manage day-to-day software system operations, and database management and provide support, expertise and direction on all Client Service division software programs.
- Manage and coordinate the Business Systems Team
- Research, investigate, identify, and manage the implementation of all divisional software updates and upgrades and approves all applicable training materials.
- Liaise, coordinate and manage the design and implementation of system processes with external and internal consultants.
- Coordinate the analysis of data, to identify trends and makes recommendations to support Winnipeg Transit Plus operations.
- Participate as a member of the division’s leadership team/committees.

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Technology Management or Systems Technical Support.
- Three years prior supervisory and/or leadership experience.
- Five years of experience working with customer service or other software system, completing system testing and training others or providing system related customer service.
- Experience generating high volumes of data from a system and analyzing the data.
- Experience implementing a new system or a process demonstrating sound change management principles.
- Experience troubleshooting system software is considered an asset
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to gather relevant information, identify root causes and recommend/implement practical solutions.
- Ability to learn new software quickly and connect operational requirements to software capabilities.
- Written communication skills with the ability to create high level detailed documents, training materials and reports.
- Advanced verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Techniques and ability to present training sessions.
- Advanced expertise in establishing and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to perform, interpret and develop statistical reports and analysis. Ability to present analysis findings and recommendations in written reports for management’s decision-making.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and direction.
- Autonomy and initiative to take progressive action for non-routine matters.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate multiple assignments and support activities simultaneously to meet timelines.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License
