We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Manager, Health Information Management & Clinical Informatics to join our growing team

Reporting to the Director, Economics, Clinical Informatics & Research, this position is responsible for enabling and supporting the use of health information management, technology solutions and clinical informatics in physicians’ clinics and patients’ medical homes. This work will support clinical and administrative process improvements, compensation programs and health system priorities.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity located in our Saskatoon office.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- In collaboration with the Director, Economics, Clinical Informatics & Research, assists in the development of an overall vision for the Saskatchewan EMR program; and inspires, develops, and manages the EMR team to carry out the vision.
- Supports the interests of physicians throughout Saskatchewan by understanding the clinical and business needs of physicians, with respect to HIM, clinical informatics, clinical quality improvement, and compensation, and by designing enhancements and alternatives.
- Provides leadership and support to the following SMA committees and conjoint stakeholder/SMA groups: EMR co-management committee, SMA peer support, and others as required.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the EMR Program and works to expand the clinical informatics and clinical quality improvement (QI) expertise within the team in alignment with the strategic direction of the department.
- Effectively manages vendor agreements, including the related service level agreements, with EMR vendors and other agencies as required.
- In collaboration with the Director, Economics, Health Information & Research, manages the annual EMR Program budget.
- Keeps abreast of leading technological best practices as it relates to health information management and clinical informatics, and influences changes, where necessary.
- Leads, coaches, and supports all direct reports by performing regular coaching, performance management, mentoring, skill development and team building.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director, Economics, Clincal Informatics & Research

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, health informatics, business administration or an equivalent combination of education, and experience. A postgraduate degree (Master’s) is considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge in change management, project management and quality improvement in a multi-stakeholder health-related environment (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, ADKAR, Prosci) is an asset.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing/leading teams.

**Salary**

$100,095- $135,429 per annum commensurate with experience.
