**Construction Apprentice Job Summary**
**Construction Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist in commercial and residential projects
- Assemble and disassemble scaffolding, form, etc.
- Prepare construction materials to build or repair structures
- Unload and carry materials at construction sites
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Demolition of, chimneys, bricks, block and foundation.
- Work with little supervision and as part of a team to complete construction projects
- Watch and learn
- Develop brick laying skills
- Develop parging skills
**Construction Apprentice Requirements and Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED certificate is preferable but not essential
- Valid driver’s license is essential
- Proof of at least one year construction experience with concrete or masonry
- Knowledge of excavation work is preferable
- Able to use hand and power tools such as drills, mixers, grinders, chippers.
- Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material such as concrete, mortar and parging.
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity; excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
- Ability to read and follow instructions and safety rules
- Good knowledge of English both spoken and written
**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
