Disability Support Worker

This is a **FULL TIME contract position** at Adults in Motion in Oakville supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a day program setting at 141 Bronte Road, Oakville (also part of an amazing staff team - they say best job ever). *This is a fixed contract for 12 months starting November 16, 2024 with possibility of new opportunities at the end of contract.
You will become part of the full-time staff team at Adults in Motion working directly hands on with some very cool participants in a collaborative work environment. Join the team to help develop **meaningful** **programming and provide support** to our AIMazing participants. Our culture is compassion, acceptance, passion and fun
**EXPECTATIONS**:
**-this position is full time fixed contract for 12 months, Monday through Friday 8am-4pm**
**-on a small staff team, provide meaningful experiences, friendship, community inclusion and fun for up to 15 participants/day**
**-possess strong programming skills and experience creating and delivering programming in a fun, energetic and outgoing manner**
**-possess strong behaviour management skills and support to individuals with developmental disabilities**
**-all applicants require experience working with individuals with special needs or with a vulnerable population.**

What else does the Adults In Motion organization do? In addition to day programs we are companion agency (same leadership) to Lubdub Media which provides online virtual programs for people with developmental disabilities. Adults in Motion was established in 2009 and is a not for profit with locations in Kitchener, Oakville, Cambridge and Hamilton. We offer Day Program Services, Life Skills Respite, One to One Respite, Workshops and access to Virtual Programs.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:

Licence/Certification:
- G license and 2 million liability (or willingness to obtain) (required)
