Journeyman Carpenter - Commercial Formwork

For over 70 years, Harbour Construction Limited has been providing civil contracting services to Public and Private Sector commercial and industrial clients throughout Nova Scotia. Our team of valued employees work closely together to complete our client projects to the highest level of quality and safety standards.

We are looking for a Journeyman Formwork Carpenter to join our team. Responsibilities include:

- Construction, erection and installation of wood and engineered formwork
- Stripping and removal of concrete formwork after concrete pours
- Erecting and building scaffolding for access and concrete formwork decks
- Installing anchor bolts and embedded steel for concrete
- Building hoardings and temporary shelters
- Completing task hazard assessments and maintaining a safe work environment

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous work experience in commercial formwork, rough carpentry, forming and framing ideally on civil construction projects
- Be in good health and physically fit
- Able to work at heights and balance on platforms, scaffolds and decks
- Good verbal and written communication skills when working with other employees
- Knowledge in trade related math and basic survey and layout
- Commitment to safe work practices at all times

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dartmouth, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
