**Want to know more about the role?**
At our Head Office based in downtown Vancouver BC, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for 3PL management and optimizing links within our supply chain. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and maximizing operational efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating with 3PL partners and internal stakeholders to maintain an optimal inventory flow and support our overall business objectives.
Let's get into the detail. This role will:
3PL Management
- Collaborate with internal inventory warehouse management team and external 3PL partners to ensure accurate inventory quantities.
- Develop (and monitor) systems to ensure that all open orders are fulfilled and closed orders are billed on time
- Manage communication and fulfillment of orders with insufficient product on a daily basis
- Monitor 3PL performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and continuous improvement initiatives and routinely follow up on any non-compliance matters.
- Identify opportunities for inventory reduction, cost savings, and process enhancements across multiple warehouses.
- Help set up new 3PL partners to support the company's growth.
Link Coordination:
- Coordinate with supply chain stakeholders, both: externally with suppliers, distributors, 3PL partners; and internally with sales, purchasing, manufacturing and demand planning departments, to facilitate smooth product flow and eliminate any supply chain disruptions.
- Proactively address any foreseen challenges to ensure seamless flow between the different stages of the supply chain and ensure that necessary stakeholders are informed whenever challenges arise.
- Analyze internal and external inventory reports, purchase orders and sales movement to analyze and proactively communicate product availability, including in and out of stock situations
- Corroborate reports and departmental knowledge to understand when unavailable products will be back in stock and update to internal stakeholders daily.
- Cross reference all data to ensure that systems are working accurately to ensure that proper business decisions are made
- Generate regular inventory reports and dashboards to track inventory performance with a focus turnover rates, short dated and excess inventory (if any).
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify other inventory trends, potential risks, action items and opportunities for improvement.
- Be the liaison between inventory operations and promptly answer all sales related inventory questions.
System Integration:
- Work closely with the IT and data management teams to optimize inventory management systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and correlation between internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that any challenges in data flow are resolved expediously.
- Ensure that any missing information is obtained and resolved on the same day.
- Ensure that orders are flowing to the proper warehouses based on predetermined expectations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement within the inventory management function.
- Develop non-conformance reports clearly illustrating the challenge, root cause and plan to ensure any challenges do not recur
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline inventory-related processes.
