Reviews Master Data accuracy of all Manufactured and Purchased parts to ensure correct ordering and inventory parameters are maintained.- Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the Production schedules.- Creates Master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet Customer Requirements, Plant Efficiency and Budgeted Inventory Levels.- Analyzes production levels, capacity and manpower requirements. Communicates with Management and Supervision on all changes required.- Develops and maintains Schedule Attainment with department supervisors to determine status of Master schedules.- Creates and monitors all launch ramp plans and processes to ensure communication of all current requirements and roadblocks. Meets with Planning team to review status of all launch and Engineering Change parts and processes. Ensure all materials and processes are flowing through CMS.- Ensure that all Planner activities for Purchased and Outside process parts are coordinated to meet all schedules.- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.- Supply Capacity load requirements and any deviations to the assigned production department.- Ensure customer demands are satisfied while avoiding premium shipments.- Assists all inventory preparation and count teams in the annual Physical Inventory- Communicate bottlenecks to the Materials Manager and/or the appropriate Production Supervisor.- Meet budgetary spending targets for the departmental cost center.- Maintain housekeeping standards within the department.- Maintain communication with other departments including Quality Control, Accounting, Human Resources and IT as required- Assist the Engineering Department with maintaining accurate prototype material inventory and planning incoming prototype material and production with Materials Supervisor.- Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.- Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.- Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER INFORMATION- Travel requirement- None- Reporting to- Materials Manager- Number of direct reports- 0-5 direct reports- Education level- Other- Education discipline- Diploma in materials/logistics or equivalent- Experience- Minimum 5 years- Language- English (Primary)- English- Advanced- Other minimum requirements- MS Office- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)- Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system.- Advanced knowledge of inventory management skills and practices is required.- Personal Skills- Strong written and oral communication skills- High degree of integrity- Proven ability to achieve results.- Detail oriented- Proactive in learning and development activities- Proven ability to work with and develop people.**Behaviors**: Preferred
