Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that product is merchandised on the shelve in a timely manner, setting up and tearing down displays and clearing any unwanted products from the shelves. The Merchandiser is required to visit different big box retail stores weekly. Steel-toed shoes are required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Visit designated stores weekly, merchandising inventory, sorting bins and attending to general housekeeping duties. Stores may change base on business demands.
- Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of the designated store manager and Detailer Supervisor.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Follow the store safety rules, and work in a safe and healthy manner.
- Placing new product on shelf behind old product in correct spot for sale.
- Face/refill product weekly for sales/presentation of product.
- Climbing ladder to up stock any overstock.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years in a retail vendor or big box environment or related experience.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office) specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
- Strategic thinker, good communicator, and exceptional problem solver.
- Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- This person needs to be self-motivated, self-starter and ok with working independently.
- Must be good at reading and matching product numbers.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
