**About this Position**

Budtenders are the heart of our operation. As a Budtender, you are the first point of contact for customers and a source of knowledge for many. You will be responsible for providing customers with product knowledge and customer support while maintaining a clean and safe store environment. This includes, assisting the management team with the activities and operations of the store while abiding by all policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. As a Budtender, you will be provided with ample opportunity to expand your own connoisseur skills on a regular basis through our Songhees Cannabis's in-house & external trainings.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Guide and direct customers in their cannabis purchasing journey
- Provide education on available products and accessories
- Answer customer questions and concerns
- Build a loyal customer base
- Execute daily tasks and merchandising needs while ensuring customer priority
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and POS systems
- Meet and exceed sales goals
- Maintain store cleanliness, performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and organizing display
- Ensure compliance in all transactions
- Taking inventory and assisting in inventory related tasks as directed by the Inventory Manager
- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise as directed
- Using sales cycle to offer consistent customer experience
- Occasional/regular delivery driving, using company vehicle as required
- Cash handling and other duties as directed

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Impeccable customer service
- One (1) year customer service experience
- One (1) year retail sales experience (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods (preferred)
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Valid Selling It Right certification
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License is an asset

As per Section 41(1) of the BC Human Rights Code, preference may be given to qualified applicants of First Nations ancestry.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

- VICTORIA, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
