Thunder Bay, Canada Little George's Child Care Centre Full time

Little George’s Child Care Centre offers licensed full and part-time daycare for children aged 18 months to 5 years. The Child Care Centre also offers programming for school-aged children, 6 to 12 years. Little George’s is currently seeking a Relief Cook that will work harmoniously with staff and parents and display a willingness to communicate the philosophy of the program. The Relief Cook will prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, and plan menus while meeting the dietary needs of children with food allergies or intolerances.

Primary responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and post menus;
- Order food and kitchen supplies;
- Assist with daily laundering requirements;
- Perform work in a safe manner, meeting duties and responsibilities required under the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Must have Safe Food Handling Certificate;
- Must have previous experience with food preparation and menu planning;
- Must be eligible to work in Canada;
- Good working knowledge of the Canada Food Guide;
- Must have First Aid with child/youth CPR training;
- Demonstrated knowledge of food sensitivities and allergies;
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work effectively as a team player.
