Marketer / Counsellor - Middle East & African Market

**UMC High School and Upper Madison College** are seeking a culturally knowledgeable and dynamic **Marketer / Counsellor** to support international student recruitment efforts across the **Middle East and African markets**—with a specific focus on **high school recruitment**.

This is a part-time, in-person role (30 hours/week) based in **Toronto**, ideal for someone with experience in international education marketing and a passion for helping students navigate the journey of studying in Canada. **Farsi (Persian) language skills** are a strong asset, especially for working with the Iranian market.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Marketing & Recruitment**
- Develop and implement student recruitment strategies across the Middle East and Africa
- Represent UMC at education fairs, school visits, webinars, and virtual events
- Translate/adapt marketing materials for regional audiences
- Promote UMC’s full range of programs, with a **primary focus on high school** and including ESL
- Stay informed on student mobility trends, visa processes, and regional education systems

**Student Counselling**
- Respond to student and parent inquiries
- Offer culturally sensitive guidance on studying in Canada and UMC’s programs

**Agent Relations**
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with regional education agents
- Train agents to accurately promote UMC’s offerings

**Qualifications**:

- **2-3 years of experience in international student recruitment**, with a strong understanding of the **Ontario high school education system**:

- Regional expertise in the Middle East or Africa
- Proficiency in English; **Farsi (Persian) strongly preferred**:

- Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Education, International Relations, or related field
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and manage a regional recruitment portfolio
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally when needed

**Compensation & Work Conditions**:

- **Hourly Rate**: $20/hour
- **Schedule**: 30 hours per week
- **Performance Incentives**: After 3 months
- **Benefits**: Eligible after 1 year
- **Location**: Toronto, ON (on-site)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Additional pay:

- Commission pay
