**Full Time Breakfast Cook required for Long Term Care home**

Previous long term care experience not required, previous cooking experience in any environment

Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current; 3x Covid Vaccination. Police check and TB testing required.
- _**DUTIES **_include: Prepping and preparing all meal items as outlined in 3 week cyclic menu, including texture modifications - general sanitation of cooks area
- garbage removal, light sweeping/mopping; receiving and putting away food deliveries,
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation (no public offered)
- Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
- Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
- Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively

Shifts are blend of 6am to 230pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.98 per hour

All persons entering the building are screened at the door; frequent sanitizing of high touch areas; masks provided upon entry

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
- Culinary Management; Red Seal, Cook I or II (preferred)
