Markham, Canada Lambton Property Maintenance (LPM) Full time

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and operating heavy equipment.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Must be able to join paving crew as rake, shovel or general labourer guy when not driving truck.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor maintenance tasks on vehicles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices while on the road.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
