Plant Manager

**Mission**
The Plant Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including production, maintenance, receiving and shipping and the maintenance and security of the entire manufacturing and office facility. He will work closely with the production and maintenance teams to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation. This person must be trained and have at least 7+ years of experience including best practices in both managerial and production platforms. Other responsibilities are as follows.
- Ensure production schedules for products are met, performing capacity, management planning, labor force training programs, and utilization of outsourcing when applicable.
- Responsible for layout and organizational flow of the operating plant.
- Ensure customer satisfaction within the best cost, quality, and deadline limits.
- Propose and manage the operational budget.
- Manage and support the site Management Team.
- Knows and follows Segment/Business Unit sales processes.
- Manages communication with stakeholders using all medias available.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational skills and accountability skills Tactful and diplomatic.
- Displays and fosters a customer-oriented mindset to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Identify, design, and implement cost savings and productivity improvement programs.
- Coordinate and facilitate site management meetings.
- Propose and manage work schedules, supply needs, maintenance, investments, product, and industrial method studies.
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing, maintenance, methods, and logistics teams.
- Follow budget achievement and organize all reporting on the assigned business.
- Ensure constant adjustment of resources to match sales commitments and needs.
- Specify required means to comply with environmental and ISO procedures.
- Proactively participate in health & safety initiatives including hazard identification, assessment and corrective actions and work with the Joint Health & Safety Committee and Human Resources to ensure legislative compliance.
- Participate and liaison with related functional departments to achieve organizational objectives and goals.
- Other projects as assigned.
**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- You have a college or technical school degree + and you have 5+ Years of experience in plant management in manufacturing.
- Manufacturing engineering an asset.
- Expert computer skills including excel, ERP, Microsoft office tools.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. French knowledge would be an asset.
- Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Standards, Health and Safety practices.
