Lube Technician/helper

Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada Ltd. (Tanco) is looking for a **Lube Technician/Helper** to join our team at the Bernic Lake Mine site. Tanco is owned by Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metal Resources Co. Ltd. and is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Employees reside in Lac du Bonnet, Pinawa and the surrounding area.

As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the HD Mechanics in the installation, repair, preventative maintenance on all mobile and stationary underground and surface related equipment. You will also be responsible for fueling, lubricating and checking/adding fluids to all equipment.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Assists Heavy Duty Mechanics in the installation, repair, adjustment, maintenance and removal of mobile and stationary underground and surface equipment.
- Operates machine tools such as, but not limited to, drill press, pipe and rod threader, band saw and hydraulic press.
- Operates pendent control crane, forklift, front-end loader and other hoisting equipment to move and position equipment and materials.
- Fuels and lubricates underground equipment.
- Operates fuel truck.
- Carries out planned equipment inspections.
- Reports and submits data relevant to job duties and reports irregularities.
- Collects and delivers required materials to individual job sites as requested.
- Cleans and keeps working area clean.
- Keeps tools and equipment in orderly condition.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 graduate with diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Lube Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
