**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Dairy Production Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position which requires a flexible availability on a day-to-day basis to deal with problems that may occur after hours and/or weekends. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to find a long-term career in a family run dairy production facility.

**What will your day look like?**

As a Birchwood Dairy’s maintenance employee, you will be responsible for general duties such as minor plumbing, electrical repairs, general carpentry, and equipment maintenance. Please see below for more specific duties
- Maintain equipment weekly/monthly/annually
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Be responsive to production needs and equipment failures
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective parts and equipment in production plant
- Coordinate and execute preventative maintenance alongside subcontractors
- Documentation of work orders, maintenance, and repairs
- Basic grounds keeping as necessary (clearing snow, general landscaping, pressure washing)
- Assist and co-ordinate maintenance of delivery trucks
- Electrical and mechanical tasks on automated equipment to ensure that production downtime is kept to a minimum
- An individual who is mechanically inclined with in depth knowledge of motors, compressors, and generators
- Good oral communication and ability to follow all standard operating procedures
- Ability to lift 25 kg/50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- You are honest, trustworthy, and reliable
- You like working with a team and can complete tasks without ongoing directions
- Welding experience is an asset
- Industrial maintenance: 1 year (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
