Alberta Transportation has awarded the contract for the final stretch of Calgary’s ring road to Calgary Safelink Partners. The entire ring road, when complete, will provide 101 kilometers of free flow travel around the City of Calgary. The project will be led by our Major Projects Team.

**What is the role?**

The Junior Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the tracking and payment of the construction trucks, and be in direct contact with the Project Coordinator and Accounting Administrator.
- Develop and manage a tool to track construction trucks daily activities
- Measure quantities for payment for trucking companies
- Ensure job quality by drafting and disseminating daily quality checklists
- Quality records review and transfer to Document Control
- Liaise with Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Coordinators; ensuring continuous and open communication
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of all information/documentation
- Maintains project files
- Identify and implement efficiencies, process improvements and ways to reduce costs
- Monitors and ensures safety on the worksite; immediately reports any deficiencies to the Project Manager
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Working towards a diploma/degree; CET or Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant training
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and contracts
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; independent work initiative
- Self-motivated and driven to make an impact through collaboration and contribution of ideas
- Minimum Class 5 Drivers license
