**Job Title**:Retail Associate

**Reports To**: Manager, ReStore

**Terms of Employment**: Part-time, Permanent

**Store Hours**: 10 am - 6 pm (must be willing to work 2 weekends each month)

**Salary**:$16.50 / hour

**Location**: 551 Cityview Boulevard, Unit 17 Woodbridge

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (Habitat GTA) is leading the way in addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time: the need for affordable housing. Our work focuses on helping working families become homeowners - thus realizing both a safe and secure place to live and the opportunity to build equity and financial independence for themselves and their children. We are a land developer, a home builder, a fundraiser, and a mortgage holder.

In support of our homebuilding operations, Habitat GTA operates retail home improvement stores called ReStores, which collect donations of home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials and sells them to the public, with all proceeds helping us build more homes.

**The Opportunity**
- Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA as a Brand Ambassador by modeling our values and guiding principles
- Deliver exceptional customer service in-store and by telephone
- Accept donations of gently used items
- Receive and unload shipments of products from our delivery trucks
- Merchandise and organize products on the store floor
- Perform all standard cash register transactions proficiently and accurately according to operational procedures including cash, debit card, and credit card transactions
- Support with updating our e-commerce platform

**What You Bring**
- A passion for our not-for-profit cause
- Past retail or customer service experience is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (30 + pounds) and walk, stand, sit, and stair climb on a frequent basis
- Safety boots required: CSA approved safety footwear to be worn at all times
- Understanding of volunteer management, renovation and building materials is considered an asset
- Passion for retail and customer service is considered an asset
