The Commercial Driver, Class 1 is responsible for transporting product.
- Local deliveries (150 km max.)
- No Overnight shifts

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Deliver products while operating a trailer truck sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states to customers timely.
- Must be willing and able to tarp loads as needed.
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
- Drive long distances.
- Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
- Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
- Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws.
- Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
- Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
- Keep a log of their activities.
- Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
- Other duties, as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid Class 1 Required.
- Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
