**Qualifications**:

- Seeking individuals wanting a long-term career opportunity that has flexibility, is compassionate, caring, and with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life of others.
- We are seeking caregivers that are willing to take initiative and work well independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to speak and write well in English needed. The ability to speak another language is an asset
- Must be able to take the bus and /or drive to work.
- ** Must live in the Nanaimo Area or immediate vicinity.**:

- A smartphone with data is necessary for schedule and reporting purposes.
- A criminal record check is required and 1 professional references are required.

We have ongoing relevant educational training modules to help you grow in your knowledge while you work.

**Types of care we provide**:

- Companionship.
- Light housekeeping.
- Meal preparation.
- Dementia Care
- Personal Care
- Laundry
- Outings/Taking clients to appointments (client based)
- Help client with bathing/toileting (client based)

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide compassionate care and support to residents in assisted living and nursing home settings.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and personal hygiene.
- Engage with patients suffering from dementia or disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor and report changes in patient conditions.

**Job Types**:Part-time, Casual

**Pay**:$22.00-$25.00 per hour
